Contrary to the rumors you may have heard, the Marina is alive and well and everything is perfectly normal in Caraballeda. Yes, we did have a lot of rain but no, we did not have any mudslides near us. There was some damage done in Naiguata and Camuri Grande (to the east of us about 10 miles or so), but our area is fine.

The crews are working on cleaning up the road between Macuto and Caraballeda, but cars are getting through just fine right now and the cleanup should be done in the next week or so.

We had our first hotel guests of the year last weekend (they left just this morning) and they had fantastic fishing on the Guarimba. I didn't get the full report, but they went away with big smiles on their faces and are planning on returning to Marina Portofino as soon as they can. We hope you will too!
