Tell your travel agent to book you into Caracas (CCS is the airport code).
The Simon Bolivar International Airport serves Caracas but is actually located in the town of Maiquetia, on Venezuela's central coast. Daily direct service is available, via American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and Continental Airlines from many major US cities, and via British Airways, Alitalia and KLM from Europe. Servivensa, Avensa, and Aeropostal, the Venezuelan flag carriers, also provide daily service, but many of our customers have found their flights are more frequently overbooked than the major carriers'.
You will need a valid passport to enter Venezuela (and to return to the States, or wherever). Your airline will give you a tourist visa form on the plane; no other paperwork is required to enter Venezuela.
Call us to arrange your airport transfers, or take a cab! Car rentals are available at the airport, but everything in Caraballeda is within easy walking distance, and there are plenty of local taxis, so most people don't bother to rent a car when they visit us.
We're not really set up as a travel agency, so we recommend that you purchase your tickets through your regular agency.
No, I'm afraid we can't. We did have a contract with the Sheraton Macuto a few years ago, but our customers found that if the hotel was full their management would refuse to honor the contract rates. So we dropped out of this deal. Caveat emptor!
