In early 1999 we opened up "the boss' house" to make more rooms available for our customers.

Quinta Portalon is the former residence of Luis Teofilo Nunez ("the boss"), the former owner of El Universal (the largest daily newspaper in Venezuela.)

He designed and built this Spanish-Colonial-style home about 40 years ago, using floor tiles from Simon Bolivar's residence in Valencia and many antique doors and windows. We've restored it to its original "glory" for the pleasure of our guests.

Quinta Portalon is located adjacent to the central Marina property, and contains 4 Luxury Suites, a large central courtyard garden, a "Terrace Bar" overlooking the Marina, etc., etc.

These rooms are more expensive than our normal deluxe rooms, but the experience of staying here will be well worth it for some our our guests. Take a look at the photos below to see what we mean:
