We are frequently asked what is the proper "protocol" for tipping. Obviously gratuities are optional, but we do our best to provide good service to our clients.
Most of our guests tip the fishing crew 15-20% of the total cost of the fishing trip, which seems to be the "normal range" pretty much everywhere these days.
You may also want to consider leaving a tip for the housekeeping staff (equivalent to what you would leave a hotel maid), and tipping your driver separately for the airport transfers.
If you visit Club Sancocho or The Slam Shack for breakfast, a drink after fishing, or dinner, please tip the staff as you would in the USA. (By the way, every restaurant we've ever visited here adds a 10% service charge to the total bill. Our prices do not include any such add ons.)
